Why study here?

The Australian Professional Skills Institute (APSI) is a pathway provider to Edith Cowan University and offers articulation into four undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Bachelor of International Hotel & Resort Management and a Bachelor of Social Science.

Its course structure allows students to study in 3 month BLOCKS comprised of ‘blended training’ and ‘workplace training’.  APSI’s extensive industry network means students have access to placements in major famous restaurants and companies including Marriott, Crown, Rendezvous Hotels, Regis Aged Care and Carers Australia.

APSI also has a large function centre onsite where students are able to attend workshops and listen to guest speakers. Its real-life bar setup is perfect for those looking to practice their hospitality skills including coffee making and cocktail preparation.

The school runs their courses in four terms, which gives future students the flexibility of commencing their course in February, April, July or October. Its strong focus in Aged Care, Hospitality and Business, makes it an easy choice if you intend to get a VET qualification in one of these areas.

Students wishing to apply to study a certificate must have completed at least Year 11 or equivalent in their home country. Diploma course candidates must have finished at least Year 12. Mature applicants are also considered on case-by-case basis.

Students from non-English speaking backgrounds need to provide an English language test result such as Academic IELTS of 5.5 with no band below 5.0 (or equivalent). In some cases, onshore students may be able to sit an internal language test provided by the school, which can suffice and help determine a student’s English level.
