Wineries and Breweries
Margaret River is one of the best wine regions on the planet. Vasse Felix, Brookwood Estate, Cullen Wines, Stella Bella Wines, Stonefish Wines, Driftwood Estate, Sandalford Wines, Hamelin Bay Wines, Howard Park & Madfish Wines, Evans & Tate… just to name a few! There are over 150 growers! It a wonderful place to spend a weekend, a week or the rest of your life and yo won’t have to go very far to find a world class Chardonnay.
With 135 kilometres of spectacular coastline you can expect a superb array of beaches. There are beaches to suit surfers, sunbathers, families with little kids and great beaches for walking or having a picnic with your friends. There is something for everyone … if you like beaches that is! If you aren’t an experienced surfer, there are lots of surf schools in Margaret River, Smiths Beach and at the Yallingup Lagoon.
Produce and Markets
Margaret River’s excellent climate allows the local to grow exceptional produce. If you are a foodie, Margaret River is a gastronomic heaven. Grass fed lamb and beef, free-range eggs, artisan cheeses, wood fired bread, organic dairy, daily caught seafood, coffee, and chocolates are just a selection of the wonderful foods being produced locally. These foods are found at the towns local famers markets, which are held most weekends in Margaret River, and also served up in the fabulous restaurants and cafes.
Margaret River Town Square Markets – Every Sunday during November – April. On the other days the Markets are held twice a month and plus public holidays 8-12.30pm.
Margaret River Farmers Markets – Every Saturday all year round. April – October 8-12pm. November – March – 7.30-11.30am.
Margaret River Lions Club – Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month – 8.30-12.30pm.

Margaret River is a great place to rejuvenate, relax and reconnect with your happier self. It is a haven for wellness practitioners and beautify place to paper yourself. Margaret River has it all Pilates and Yoga classes on the beach to get your blood flowing and clear your mind, and walk trails to challenge every level of fitness. You can immerse yourself in nature or indulge yourself at one of the beautiful eco couples retreats. Margaret River locals are known to be very ‘chilled out’ and you can probably guess why.

You are spoilt for choice when it comers to choosing a restaurant or café in Margaret River, many of whom boast world-class chefs and superb local and fresh produce. There are beach cafes, bakeries and multiple award winning wineries and restaurants. you really are spoilt for choice.
The jewel in Margaret River’s gastronomic crown is the annual Margaret River Wine and Food Festival, called the “The Margaret River Gourmet Escape,” which attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world and famous celebrity chefs, such as Rick Stein, Nigella Lawson, Tetsuya Wakuda, Guy Gossi, Julien Royer and many more. It’s an event not to be missed!
